Palm Springs Playful and Raw Wedding Portraits

This Palm Springs wedding portrait session filled my artist heart. We started at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs which was full of cool textures, bright colors, and fun murals. We ended the portrait session in the mountains nearby where we witnessed the most beautiful desert sunset. Heather and Darryl are the perfect mix of goofy and serious that was beyond fun to photograph.

As a photographer and fine artist, it means so much to me when my clients trust my artistic vision. One of my goals as a photographer is to make sure my clients have fun, that they walk away with artistic photos where they’re the star, and photos where I capture their unique personalities in a candid way. If I have a vision as an artist of a shot that I think would be totally epic, I have the couple go stand over there and I direct them into a visual story that I think captures the scene we’re in. Other than those moments, my sessions are completely fluid and always include lots of laughing, sometimes a bit of shimmying, and weird mom-jokes on my end.

I loved being able to deliver art in the form of epic landscape photos to Heather and Darryl alongside raw, candid, and playful portraits of them as a couple.
