Everything changes when you become parents.

My son is a year and a half now and nothing could have prepared me for the shift in my life when I brought home my tiny baby. Those moments feel like they’ll last forever but when you look back, you realize how quickly they fly by.

I’ve stumbled upon newborn sessions and I love them for so many reasons. The time I spent with my son when he was itty bitty is so hard for me to remember now. The memories are blurred with hormones, sleep deprivation, and the shift in my life in general.

What I would give to have documented my time with my son professionally when he was so little. It really does go by so quickly.

Newborn sessions are so sweet, so special. Especially when they take place in your home - where you spend your time with your little one. Where you do the diaper changes, late night feedings, where you get most of your cuddles. It might not feel like you’ll want to remember something as simple as changing a diaper - but trust me, you will.

When Georji and Glenn reached out for me to do a newborn lifestyle session of their baby Warren (the only type of newborn session I do — I’m not into posed newborn shoots.) I so excited to be invited into this special time.

Their home screams modern California bohemian . The light streamed into their modern nursery and I was able to document what their everyday life looks like right now.
